“Love is anterior to life, posterior to death, initial of creation, and the exponent of breath.”

— Emily Dickinson

Before the world took shape and form, there was Love.  It was Love that called us all into being — each person, each animal, each root and flower, each rock and tree.  The water that fills the oceans and bubbles up from the springs of the earth washes the world in Love.  It is the cosmic DNA whose threads of inheritance run through us all and weave the great web of life.  It is Love that calls us to acknowledge that we are one with it all; and when we touch that part of ourselves, it is easy to dance along the threads of the web and leave not one dewdrop disturbed.

Stop for a moment before you begin your busy day.  Connect with the essence of the Love that created you.  Feel it flowing through your veins with each beat of your loving heart.  Then take a slow, deep breath; and when you exhale, breathe love into the world around you.  Watch the sparkling Love swirl in the air as you breathe it in and out.  See it dance as it blends and merges with the other bits of Love that shine on the strands of the web of life.

It was Love that called us into existence, and it is Love that will go on when our bodies tire and we return to the earth.  The rest is temporary and comes and goes with each breath of the Universe; but Love never dies.  Walk gently today and dance the dance of Love.
