We awoke this morning to two inches of newly-fallen snow and a two-hour delay for school. Since it appears that today is arranged in twos, it seems only appropriate that I should follow up my 365,000 Words post about the groundhog with this rebuttal. What began as a gray-and-white, sunless day now has erupted into sparkles on the ground and fast-melting snow that quickly reveals the brilliant green of approaching Spring! There is something to be learned from a day like this one. It is easy when the sun is obscured by clouds to forget that it exists. As last night’s snow becomes today’s fleeting memory, let’s focus on the promise of warm days to come.
